Para alguém como Jean Claude Vannier é fácil de imaginar um extenso artigo de material não editado ou até raro, visto muito do seu trabalho ter sido menosprezado durante anos. “Electro Rapide” reúne algumas dessas raridades, gravações de estúdio do tempo em que Vannier ainda não tinha começado a colaborar com Serge Gainsbourg. O que encontramos aqui são instrumentais com influência da electrónica que se fazia na altura (principalmente a francesa, deve muito a Roubaix), mas com a componente mais orquestral-pop que Vannier iria desenvolver e aperfeiçoar alguns anos mais tarde.
