Duas faixas com velocidades diferentes e uma mesma militância no lado psicadélico do novo boogie. O som é menos cristalino do que, por exemplo, Rhythm Based Lovers, mas a isso é acrescentado um poder hipnótico que encontramos mais facilmente em projectos como Neon Indian. Disco incrível de nova psicadelia sem época e até agora não nos ocorre melhor descrição do que a da própria editora:
“Double Rainbow” is the first 12″ single by DC’s Protect-U partnership. A dripping bell loop drops over 707 patterns and deep bass as A side “Double Rainbow” twists, turns, and grows into a highlife house dream. The B side “Toughen Up” is tropical electro-funk gyrating in and out of itself, a 90 BPM churner for all the people out there (like us) living in that Nu Pangea where the genres fall apart.”

A editora Future Times (Washington), que conhecemos sobretudo por causa de Rhythm Based Lovers, deixou-nos dois sets ao vivo para partilha, gravados no último fim de semana directamente para cassete : )

Maximillion Dunbar terá um maxi chamado “Bare Feet”, em breve, com as faixas “Loveloop” e “Wouldn’t Matter”;
Protect-U tem maxi alinhado na Future Times para Dezembro. “Double Rainbow” já pode ser ouvido no myspace deles.
